1. The Colloseum

Of course as the most famous sight of Rome and it’s landmark the colloseum is my number one place to go.
It’s a beautiful place where you can just take a break sit down enjoy the colloseum and the surrouding. It’s also worth going inside (you better pay a skip the line ticket) and if you go upstairs you’ve got a beautiful view over the whole place.

2. The Roman Forum

This is a really cool place it’s located only a few footsteps from the colloseum and totally worth visiting. It shows the ancient buildings and remains of the once so big Roman Empire.

3. The Trevi Fountain

Just a really beautiful, huge fountain located in the center of Rome decorated with old Roman skulptures. They say if you throw a penny in the fountain you’ll get back to Rome one day.

4. The Pantheon

The Pantheon is an ancient building near the Trevi fountain and also a church.

5. Piazza Navona

This is a beautiful place in downtown with 3 fountains. The biggest fountain is in the middle of the place and has four skulptures representing 4 continents: Europe, America, Asia and Africa.

6. Vatican City

This is a very special place. You can go see the Vatican museum and walk through lots of room full of old skulptures and paintings – also the the ceiling.  The Sistine Chapel decorated with the famous paintins of  Michelangelo. And of course the St. Peter’s Basilica. If you go on top you’ve got an amazing view over the St. Peters place. Make sure to dress appropriate.

7. The Kapitol

The Kapitol is located on the Kapitol Hill not far from the colloseum. In front you can see a skulpture of Michelangelo.

8. Sant Angelo

A beautiful castle not far from the St’ Peters place.

9. Arch of Constatine

The Arch of Constatine is located between the colloseum and the Palatin Hill. It was build in honor of Konstantin for his victory over Maxentius.

10. Catacombs of Rome

These catacombs are another way of discovering Rome. A little creepy but definitely worth a visit.
